PORT WENTWORTH CITY COUNCIL INAUGURATION SET FOR JAN. 7 AT PB EDWARDS GYMNASIUM

PORT WENTWORTH, GA – The City of Port Wentworth will inaugurate its newest City Council members at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at PB Edwards Gym. In addition to a swearing-in ceremony, the event will include musical selections, remarks by the recently elected leaders and a benediction. The gym is located at 101 Turnberry St.
In November, Port Wentworth residents elected new council member Glenn Jones in District 4, and re-elected council incumbents Thomas Barbee (at-large) and Mark Stephens (District 2). They will all take their oaths of office during the Jan. 7 inauguration.
Community residents are encouraged to attend the ceremony, which is open to the public, and welcome their leaders into office.
